I can't tell you how many times I've heard people say how they are too tired to exercise. Not going to lie, I find myself thinking about that a lot. It's funny how I think about it before every wrestling practice, while I have more energy throughout the day than I do in the off season.
Now I'm not saying the first week or two will be easy, you will most likely be more tired than you would not exercising. This is only because your body is trying to adjust to the new lifestyle. Once your body starts coping with your workouts and isn't sore anymore is when you'll see the improvements in your energy level.
If you are curious about this lifestyle, there is a great, short, article that you should take a look at. This article is about how your body will feel and a couple of other things that go hand-in-hand with your workouts. Exercising is guaranteed to give you more energy and make you feel better about yourself.

Liked the whole blog. Great hook kept me interested especially of me being a three sport athlete and finding this very often. Liked to hear peoples opinions on being tired and having to keep going even though you dont want to. Could have put something in there about mental toughness.
ReplyDeleteJim, I completely agree with what you said. It's often times hard trying to find active people anymore. Especially with all of the new-found technology appeals that makes sitting at home doing nothing even easier. I love how much better you feel after exercising. During swim season I can really relate to how you described the beginning season of wrestling. After you get past the really hard beginning part of season, you can easily tell how much better you feel
ReplyDeleteYour personality is starting to show through more . . . this is a good thing. This entry is more focused than your last, too. The external source is well-introduced, but the hyperlink doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteGood job Jim! I can relate to this because when I started working out a lot more, I was SO tired from it. When I got used to it tho, I gradually got less tired. Being active is something you def. have to commit to or you won't see the benifits!
ReplyDeleteI think that this was a great blog. I often find myself making excuses to not work out, like work and school. I like how you said that you often find yourself thinking that you're to tired, but in the end you end up having more energy when you do work out, rather than when you don't. Good job!!
